APRI Armenia is an independent think tank and policy accelerator.

The Applied Policy Research Institute of Armenia (APRI Armenia) is a nonpartisan think tank and policy accelerator focused on advancing regional stability and sustainable prosperity in Armenia. Our programs and initiatives are oriented toward concrete problem-solving, addressing key challenges for the near-term and long-term realization of Armenia’s potential. Through its activities as a convener, collaborator and co-funder of strategic research, APRI Armenia facilitates breakthrough ideas and multistakeholder initiatives for positive change in our region.

APRI Armenia is an independent organization founded by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), a trusted name in Armenian philanthropy for more than 115 years. AGBU supports APRI’s work through its global network of dedicated professionals and its history of incubating, launching and sustaining programs that advance the well-being of Armenian communities worldwide.

The launch of APRI Armenia comes in response to a dire need for deep insight, dynamic policy dialogue and clear understanding of Armenia in its geopolitical context. The organization is action-oriented, with a blend of long-term initiatives and near-term capacity-building projects. We are creating a space to work on critical policy issues in a constructive and collaborative professional atmosphere.

APRI Armenia was formed following an extensive 18-month design process that included pilot projects, feedback from key stakeholders and guidance from a network of advisors around the world. Its operations will grow over the months and years to come, through a culture that adapts to the needs of the day and constantly improves its model of impact.  APRI Armenia is currently establishing its first set of strategic initiatives in the fields of foreign policy and regional stability, public health, energy security and local community development.
